Whether you are a physician looking to start your own practice, an esthetician looking to add laser or IPL to your existing practice, or looking to enhance your training, our aesthetic laser training course helps you gain a thorough understanding of the common aesthetic devices and procedures laser facia;utilized for things such photorejuvenation, vascular and pigmented lesion removal, skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and other common aesthetic procedures.

This is a professional development course meant to provide  a solid foundation of understanding on aesthetic lasers, their safe operation, and how they interact with the skin.

Course Format

Our comprehensive laser courses include content-rich classroom didactics and highly detailed demonstrations.  Attend your classroom session via LIVE Zoom online from the comfort of your own home. Course schedules are designed to fit your schedule and learning rate. Unlike most classroom settings our courses are one on one or one on two. We find that we can provide more in-depth knowledge with a personalized course.

Following the didactic portion of the course students are invited into the clinic to gain hands on practical experience. 

Classroom (Didactic) Education

You will receive a comprehensive overview of how cosmetic lasers work, pre- and post-treatment care, and the latest cosmetic laser techniques. This course meets all LSO training requirements outlined by the ANSI Z136.1 Safe Use of Lasers standard. Topics also include:

  • Treating different skin conditions and types
  • Evaluating skin types using the Fitzpatrick scale
  • Skin physiology and tissue interactions
  • Laser Physics
  • Laser Safety
  • Indications and contraindications
  • How to perform the consultation process
  • Laser settings and functionalities

These classroom lectures will also prepare you for hands-on clinical training.

Hands On Training

During the practical session, each participant will put what they’ve learned into practice. It is recommended that participants carry the procedure out on one another as this allows each person to actually experience the treatment themselves, however, if any participants are unable to have the treatment, a model can be arranged instead.You will receive clinical hands-on training in a med spa environment at one of our  locations. In this phase, you will have the opportunity to work with both laser and IPL devices.

Course Objectives

  • Identify safety issues and complications as well as recognize contraindications for various cosmetic laser treatments

  • Understand the hazards associated with cosmetic lasers and how to avoid them
  • Demonstrate proper technique and safe operation of laser and pulsed light devices
  • Explain the benefits, expectations, and results associated with several laser devices

Certification

Aesthetic Laser Course Certification

Laser treatments are now an integral part of cosmetic health care in the modern world. Lasers are a non-evasive and cost-effective solution for a number of aesthetic needs and areas of the body. London Laser Training offers Aesthetic Laser certifications to those that complete the aesthetics laser training course.

Upon completion of training, each London Laser Training client will receive three certifications acknowledging their newfound background in laser training and gain authorization to perform laser cosmetic laser procedures with IPL, Q-switched, Diode and Pico lasers.

Our training program is taught by leading experts in the laser industry and will equip you with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience to help you succeed in this growing field. The certifications you will earn in this course are shared by leading medical and aesthetic practitioners nationwide.

Certified Laser Specialist (CLS) Certification

The CLS certification attests your in-depth knowledge and experience with lasers gained through the didactic and hands-on training offered at London Laser Training. This certification also confirms that you have spent time being trained in laser aesthetic treatments. This includes, but is not limited to:

Laser Safety Officer (LSO) Certification

The LSO certification verifies your comprehension of Class IV medical laser risks. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Laser Optics & Laser Fundamentals
  • Laser Classifications
  • Laser & Optical Radiation Bioeffects
  • Non-Direct Beam Hazards
  • Laser Control & Methods
  • Regulations
  • Standards & Reporting
  • Laser Safety Officer Duties

Both the CLS and LSO certifications are required in many areas for technicians to operate a laser. All training clients will be trained using powerful IPL, Q-switched, Diode and Pico lasers that are professional-grade.

Advanced Aesthetic Laser Certification

As a London Laser Training client, you will also receive a certificate recognizing your experience treating skin issues with non-ablative Q-switched and Pico lasers.

The four laser wavelengths that you will be trained to use are:

  • 1064 nm (Q-switched Nd:YAG laser)
  • 532 nm (Q-switched Nd:YAG laser)
  • 755 nm (Pico Laser)
  • 808 nm (Diode Laser)

You will also be trained in IPL wavelengths:

  • 430 – 1200 nm

Certification in these laser wavelengths will allow patients to recognize that you have assessed real patient issues, know how to determine the best laser setting to use when treating, and have personally performed treatments under the supervision of laser training professionals.
