Thinking about laser therapy to enhance your practice and help your patients heal faster?

Over 2,200 published papers and hundreds of scientific studies including clinical trials and double blind, placebo controlled peer reviewed studies exist supporting laser therapy as a valid therapeutic modality. Laser therapy has been shown to be effective on CTS, tendonitis, neck and back pain, soft tissue injuries, swelling, sprains and strains and much more.

Before you invest in expensive laser equipment you should know exactly what you need for your practice. London Laser Training  offers comprehensive  instruction in laser therapy for healthcare professionals.

Low Level Laser Therapy is most correctly known as PhotoBiomodulation (PBM Therapy), but also referred to as Cold Laser Therapy or Laser Therapy.This course is for health care providers. Basic cellular biology will be covered but it is only included as reference and background. The purpose of this training is to teach the mechanisms and principles of LLLT. You will learn the energy concepts of laser, tissue interaction, clinical and aesthetic applications and the contraindications of laser therapy. You will also learn the types of devices and the basic way they’re used, important energy and dosimetry concepts and both treatment safety and general laser safety.

Because we are not affiliated with any laser manufacturer and we do not sell any laser equipment, you can be assured that you are getting unbiased training.

Classroom (Didactic) Education

This basic theory course focuses on both the theory and  the mechanism of laser. This training teaches the principles from light absorption, the cascade of intracellular and extra cellular effects, physiological changes and clinical outcomes.

Hands On Training

PBM lasers are easy to use but we provide the opportunity to feel comfortable performing  a procedure within a clinical environment.

Course Objectives

By the end of your  training you will be able to:

  • understand the evolution of light therapy;
  • describe the unique characteristics of laser energy;
  • discuss the types of lasers available for soft tissue treatment and compare their energy outputs with respect to power, dosage modifications, wavelength, and pulse frequency;
  • perform a laser treatment using a commercially available device;
  • understand the biological effects of low-level laser therapy; and
  • describe the safety considerations and contraindications of low-level laser therapy

Course Modules

  • Basic Laser
  • Low Level Laser
  • Pathology of Pain
  • Wound and Tissue Healing

Materials

Your tuition includes a course manual that consists of written reference materials and  examples of history, consent and policy forms.

Certification

There is an exam at the end of the course successful completion of which is required in order to gain a certificate of achievement.
