Laser and Micro-needling

Hair loss is a widely common condition which affects both males and females. In the U.S and Canada, about 60% of men experience ‘Male-pattern baldness’, where up to 40% of women over 50 are affected by ‘Female-pattern baldness’. While hair loss may seem like an aesthetic issue, it is often accompanied Hair regrowth by a significant negative psychological impact.

According to research the market  is expected to rise from its initial estimated value of USD 8.21 billion in 2018 to an estimated value of USD 12.40 billion by 2026 This rise in the market can be attributed to the rising geriatric population along with high demand for surgical hair transplant and changing lifestyle. Two clinically proven treatment methods are Low Level Laser (PBM) and micro-needling. We’ve combined both in this unique course. Now your clients have a drug free non-surgical option.

Classroom (Didactic) Education

You will learn everything you need to know to become a Hair Restoration Specialist including: health and safety; hair loss physiology and anatomy; hair growth cycle, male and female hair loss types, how to conduct a consultation; using both laser and micro-needling processes.

Hands On Training

Students will have the opportunity to work with a PBM (low level) laser and learn to operate a micro-needling machine. The course of treatment is 10 weeks. a student may supply their own model but additional charges would apply to cover the cost of individual supplies.

Course Objectives

By the end of your  training you will be able to:

 
  • understand and explain causes of hair loss
  • understand the growth cycle of hair
  • understand the basics of laser for hair growth
  • understand the basics of micro-needling for hair growth
  • understand the contraindications of both laser and micro-needling
  • perform a laser procedure
  • perform a micro-needling procedure

Course Modules

Your fee includes a course manual that consists of written reference materials, protocols and  examples of history, consent and policy forms.

Certification

There is an exam at the end of the course successful completion of which is required in order to gain a certificate of achievement.
